Trenton, NJ, December 3, 2021 – ACCSES NJ, Inc. announced that Matthew Putts, PhD, has accepted the position of Vice President of Government Affairs.
ACCSES NJ, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is dedicated to providing leadership and support to members who advocate for and serve persons with disabilities through community based programs located throughout New Jersey.
Currently, Mr. Putts is the Chief Executive Officer of Employment Horizons, Cedar Knolls, NJ, a position he has held since 2016. As a member of ACCSES NJ, Employment Horizons embodied our shared mission to advocate for and serve persons with disabilities while empowering them to protect their choice of employment and support a more inclusive workforce. As CEO, Mr. Putts oversaw all agency operations, including corporate and accreditation compliance. He holds a doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling & Administration from East Carolina University, a master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Rutgers University, and a bachelor’s in psychology from Colgate University. His professional certifications include: Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE), International Psychometric Evaluation Certification (IPEC), and Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP).

Mr. Putts robust experience in the fields of Workforce Development include serving as the Chair of the Disability Committee for the Morris – Sussex – Warren Workforce Development Board. The committee’s purpose includes identifying new services and programs that can benefit persons with disabilities and recommending ways to incorporate the programs and services into the One Stop System while ensuring access to the full range of One-Stop Career Center services. The committee’s work continued throughout the pandemic with meetings held virtually and was instrumental in providing updated information as One-Stop Offices remained closed to in-person services.

As we enter 2022, we are confident Mr. Putts will bring his education, experience and unique skill sets to our organization, contributing to our growth as we lead the way in reducing employment barriers and increasing employment opportunities for all NJ residents with disabilities. Mr. Putts will officially assume his new position on January 18th, 2022.
